Steps to your garden
- Complimentary site visit and estimation. Gather measurements and layout. Discuss ideas of material and plant options.
- Design and conceptualization. We will create an architectural draft of the landscape based on our discussion. The construction estimate will be presented here with a detailed quotation.
- Construction. Begin installation of the garden from the excavation of the site to the final touches.
- Maintenance. Gardens require care to maintain their life and beauty. We specialize in maintaining that essence by pruning, watering, weeding, etc. Seasonal or regular services are available.

Tsutomu (Tom) Ashizawa, lead artisan in designing and crafting Japanese Gardens has been constructing Japanese gardens here on the West Coast of BC for over 25 years. Having learned his skills in Japan by a master gardener, he brought his skills to the serene landscape of the West Coast, specifically Vancouver, where the mountains, the sea, and the forests stretch far and wide.
Tom’s attention to detail has been consistent with his devotion to providing high-quality work for clients here in Vancouver. Our goal is for people to feel a sense of calm in their own space and be surrounded by beauty.
